That would be a great idea! That's a great idea ! Allison should build some models with that and call it something like " extreme angler deck " option!
I have not had a chance to run a taller prop yet. May just have to wait till the rally in June.Jared, that did turn out really nice. It's easy to see you put a ton of time in it to get all those little details just perfect. Nice really clean boat. You bust trips in that thing yet?
Thanks, yes I'll be at the rally this year, I think it shaved weight, all of that glue and carpet seemed heavy. That looks PHENOMENAL!!! Your coming to the rally? Can't wait to discuss this with you, fantastic job!! Been wanting to get rid of my carpet as well, do you think it added or shaved weight?
Pkstv, you're on to something there. Suppose you wanted to go minnow fishing - that would be the day to leave the carpet at home. That would be nice to do that and have a carpet kit from Allison with snaps so you could have carpet when you wanted or take it out for those days of heavy fishing !
I took a pic of what was used, minus the blue dye. Keep in mind that I had to do some gel work because under the carpet is not perfect. The gel I got from Allison. The non skid and dye came from www.uscomposites.com The epoxy I believe was bought local "left overs that my dad had.How about a list of the products you used.
Thanks, no the xb2003s are not recessed except for the one lid leading to the front deck. The lids are all wrapped with carpet. Imo the xb2002 would be easier. I would not worry about raising it up to level.I want to do this to my newly purchased 91 xb2002. i notice that my hatch doors are kinda recessed for the carpet to fit in. Was yours the same way and if so, how did you raise that level for a flat surface?
Your boat looks amazing.
