How do you tell if its a fat shaft? I don't really know how to tell

i don't have the pan. All i have is the cowling, no cracks, it has some minor scratching but no major damage what so ever. Its sale pending right now...if it doesn't go through ill keep you guys posted and from california to go back east its like ball park around 150$...not because of weight but...
