What motor are you putting on it? We are of the opinion that this hull works better
with big torque. My engine is a 280, probably would prefer a 300XS. My boat is a
BasSport Pro. I fish with my wife, we both love the cockpit feeling and protection
from the wind and weather. We have owned two...
I want to update the Garmin in-dash unit to a newer, higher tech. unit from
a different manufacturer. Does Allison offer any different dash panels or
am I on my own?
Low time, stock, untouched 280. 20" mid, sporty 200 hrs. on motor, 100hrs. on fact.
new powerhead. Still on Bassport, can test drive. Want to try a 300xs.
$9,000.00
I think what 280ally was saying is that the pro et has 1-2 inches more pitch than they
are stamped. He was saying that a 28" is like a 30" re4. I run mine even to 1/4" below.
I think that the pump is on the same relay as the ecu. When you have no pump, you
have no spark. I just went through this a few days ago. New relay, everything is fine.
Silverfox,
The 280 is more than adequate. Mine has run 87gps at Amistad with a stock sm (needs
Todd's mods). That's with two people and equip. It's about 3 mph faster than my 21'
xdc with a 300x. I run 12" setback 1/4" below the pad. I'm running a 26" pro et but only
turn it 7000. Maybe a...
Silverfox,
I have a 2006 Bassport with a 280. I had the motor on a 21 xdc Bullet for years.
The Ally is about 6 mph faster than the Bullet with the same motor. The balance
and weight are great, the holeshot is great, but the Bassport is heavy and probably
likes the torque of the 300xs. I...
