I have a 15ft early 80s Allison I'm restoring. I have a 1997(56ci) (2.42 gear case) long shaft Johnson 60hp with a Ron Hill 14x22 prop cleaver and a 5" CMC jack plat. I plan to do some mods (hed,EX,timing). Will this motor setup work ? I'm not trying to outrun every boat on the water, just get the boat on the pad 50/60mph.
