Has anyone had trouble with getting enough load to break in the engine? 4000-5400 rpm is easy, but it won't be 3/4 throttle - I better put on my steepest prop. A friend has a 200XS on an STV and his is still in break in mode as he doesn't load it enough at the required rpm.

Was it your low pressure fuel pump that was bad? Noticed the post on S&F. Running my 2012 this week. Had to order the 8 [pin to 14 pin adapter. Waiting for it to come in and finish up a few odds and ends.

New fuel pump, new water pump, good to go. I am an hour into break in. So far, so good, except my old pito tube speedo is reading 30 mph at 5000 rpm with a 28" prop. Sure feels faster than 30.

4000 rpm is 55 mph. I downloaded a speedo app for my phone. It was too rough today to go past 5000, but I got another 40 minutes in. I run out of lake at these speeds, it's hard to get 10 minutes in.

I am not a good enough driver to run 60 plus in the chop we have had this week. Yesterday was so bad the offshore guys moved their poker run from the adjacent big lake to our lake.

I know a guy with a 200XS on an STV. He says that at 4000-5400 he does not have enough throttle opening for the ECU to register the time as break in. As a result he way past 40 hours but the engine is still in break in mode - running extra oil

With my engine as low as it will go, and only enough trim to level the boat, I think I have enough throttle.
