IHBA & SDBA's LakeFest 2005, August 12-14,

This marks the 14th year the Marble Falls/Lake LBJ Chamber of Commerce transforms Lake Marble Falls into a liquid quarter-mile "racetrack" and the banks of the lake into a wild three-day boat race party. On Friday, August 12, more than 150 boats go in the water from 10 am to 4 pm for Test & Tune. Drag boat fans swarm Johnson Park on Friday evening for a chance to get up-close and personal with the drivers and boats. Fans will have a chance to buy official t-shirts and posters for autographs and have their picture taken with the stars of the show. http://www.marblefallslakefest.com/

Sorry Art, Spectating from the water is NOT allowed! :( It's not safe! :shock:

The lake (river) is located about 45 minutes West of Austin! It's one of the prettiest place's in Texas! :D There will be over 150 boats (last year we had 178). There will be over 50K spectators (last year we had 56K!) And due to the fact the only shade is the a few trees and the Beer tent,,, Clothes are miniumal!!!!!!!!! :lol: :lol: :lol:

At this point I think there is a dozen Top Fuel Hydros,, And probably about a Dozen TAF & TAH!!!! :wink:

And if the grape vine is right,,,,, WE are also going to have Circle boats racing there too this year!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :wink:

The Super Stock Racing Association Will Be in marble falls too!!!!!

The Super stocks are part of the IHBA show in Marble Falls. If you have never been to a super stock race hang on to your shorts, you're in for the biggest thrill. There will be up to 6 boats at a time on the course and they do 4 to 5 laps and race three or four times a day!!!!!!!!!!

I wish I could say,,,,,,,,"I made the Allison Owners Proud"! :shock: But I can't!!!!!!!!!! I Won this round against the LADY on Saterday,,,

But,,I got put on the trailer FIRST round on Sunday! :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry:
