Does anyone know where to get a replacement inline fuel filter for a '99 280? This is the filter that is under the cowl. My local dealer wants $55 for a new one.

Thanks,

BTW .....when ya buy the WIX 33093 it will have a compression female fitting on one end and a male fuel barb on the other. You MUST buy an adapter ( about $6.00) from female compression to male fuel barb and change the fitting out when the WIX is changed !

I've been using the WIX 33093 for 10 years in our motors and they are a very good filter from an early model Caddy with a high pressure EFI fuel pump and low $$ available at Auto Zone , Pep Boys, Napa ....

Good luck !

Same filter is also available from NAPA auto parts, I think it's their 3093 number...about $11

Check out the NAPA Gold 3482. It's made by WIX, has the hose fitting on both ends and looks exactly like the Kinsler filter from Mercury. $8.99 I have been using them them for a few years.
