I have a 30" Merc ET that is used but in very good plus condition. Never modified or repaired. I will trade for a 28-30 Bravo or Hydromotive X O/B Quad in equal condition.

Does not work well on my 21

Redwing, if I remember right you have a 250 on your new boat. I have two of the Hydromotives that I run on my 2003/250. I have a IV OT 28 and a IV X OB 29. Both props will spin to 6050 for a top speed of 94 and 97.2. I have run my 29 (which was sent back to Todd for a little extra cup) on a 21 and it turned 5750 at 91.4. This was with a half tank of fuel and a large load of tackle and two aboard. So in my opinion a 30 Hydromotive in that prop would be a little tall for your setup.

Thanks BB, I am working on a trade for a 28 Hydro X /OB but thanks for the info on the 30, I will stay away from that. I was thinking a 30 in a Bravo because I ran a 28 bravo w 2 men and we were on the limiter @ 87.7. I have a brand spanking new Performer HP3 in a 28 that I just bought for my 03 before I even came across the 21. I will try it this weekend but I think it may be too small. I always liked a 29 pitch on my 03, it seemed like the majic pitch for me but I am still playing with the 21. The quest continues. I really am not interested in the best TE prop I can get but just a little curious. I prefer to be able to get up and accellarate to cruise speed quickly. I will leave the speed records in a 21 footer to the Stroker boys, they appear to be eat up with it and are doing very well.

RedWing, if you ever get a chance to run a new 28 Chopper II don't pass it up. It's a surprisingly good wheel for the 21 in my opinion.

BB, I have a brand spankin' new 28" Performer HP3 that I bought for the 03 when I was dressing her up not even thinking of getting another boat and then the 21 came along. I havent played with it yet on the 21 but I hope that it works on it because I paid $764.00 case money last month.

28" Performer HP3 not enough blade area for this 21 footer, did not work well at all.
