Merc Lower Solid Motor Mounts

I put my midsection back on and noticed you could put the bottom solid motor mounts on either way. There is only about 1/8 to 3/16” of a difference but I want to make sure its right.

20” standard midsection (not the offshore)
1” exhaust plate

Which way do they go for sure…I have the shorter end facing the midsection, tell me this is right?
