Stanton, my 11yr old is a one man, deer wreckin crew, he's DEATH FROM ABOVE, he's as tough as a nickel steak... he's MY boy! :big grin
This afternoon we went for a doe, but instead this webfooted, swamper 8pt ran into my sons .243 bullet! The pic shows the buck where he stood when Stant shot him from the shootin house in the background (appx 85yds). The buck jumped in that water and grass at the shot. We got down, started waking for the bridge (just out of pic on the right) when suddenly the buck EXPLODED from the brush and hightailed it deeper into the swamp! :cuss
I grabbed my sons rifle, a wading stick and took off in the bucks direction. 200yds later I found him, finished him off and floated him back to my son. (That water was COLD! The things we do for our kids and nice bucks!)
