New Wheel and Shifter

The shifter took some thought but, I got it in with some help from "quikallison".

One thing is to be absolutely sure that it shifts ALL the way into both forward and reverse gears. Most of these type shifters are made for jet boats and such.

Looks sweet. I want to replace my 3000 with something. What new mercury options do I have? I have trim in the handle not that I ever use it there.

Yea it sucks that it never comes back to center. I need to get the Allison horn button. How much was it from Allison?

I don't need the trim on the shifter, I have trim at, bow, motor, foot switches, and the old steering trim buttons on the dash.

There are few options to go with. Your 3000 is probably the most user friendly. I like jet boat shifter, it is sporty compact and simple. I also set it up to start in gear.

$24 for the bezel and $6 for the center sticker.

purchased the shifter through rex marine, but be sure that you can fabricate something to hold it the guts of the 3000 from the outside. I used a piece of chrome aluminum and counter sunk three holes in it for the screws.
