Does the skid plate make that much of a difference when getting on top . Looking at getting my grand sport out of the hole faster. Taking off from a rolling start.

Definitely helped my GS get out of the hole. That coupled with a hydro-foil on the cavitation plate led to nearly no bow rise. With the skid planer doing @80% of the work.

Yes, definitely helps get out of the hole quickly. The right pitch prop is essential also.

Yes... it really does help. In combo with a superior Prop...Hydromotive 14 3/4” X 26 R QIV OT is the only prop I've tested, it performs really well in helping the hole-shot & Cruise. WHEN dialed in.\
