Todd,
I have a question about a Hydromotive prop. I bought the prop from a guy who sold his Allison. Can you tell me anything about the prop? It has two numbers. The one on the end of the barrel is HCCL28R T3-X Comp. It also has a number stamped near a blade that reads HE19681 (as best I can read it). One thing that I noticed is that the barrel length is so short that the splines protrude which won't let the prop nut tighten. Any ideas? I bought the prop to run on my XB2003 with a slightly modified 225 ProMax

The shorter spline sounds like it was originally an OMC prop to me. That, or you are missing a washer.

Prop

That prop needs a splined spacer to take up the last 1/4" of splines showing, then your tab washer , then your prop nut. Any merc dealer will have that piece it is not that big and has the recesed squared pieces for the tab washer to slide over.Hopes this helps call if you have any questions 330-425-3629.By the way that prop was designed for real lite boats with high horsepower,so I dont think you will be able to satisfy your rig and set up with that prop. Not enough blade area and diameter to run on a 03, but I hope it does good for you. Please feel free to call with any questions. Later

Hack...what do you have...

Hack....I am thinking about trying a different prop. Are you still interested in the Hydromotive? What do you have to trade?

It is a 28" pitch and it does NOT take a flo-torq. It is small shaft
