Here's a bit of trivia / lore on the XB2002.

When I picked mine up from the factory, I eyed it over bow to stern real good.

When siting a line from the bow to the console tip, something looked off. From different angles, the console looked out-of-line with the bow tip!

Answer: After some research, Darris informed me that the hole for the front fishing seatpost is about 1/8" offcenter of the boat. He further said that thanks to me, he would be recalling all 672 boats to fix this, as the error is in the entire species. (Just kidding--this variation is like the cracks in fine leather; a classic piece of the original mold still used today.)

Visually when you site down the front, the seatpost hole doesn't line up with the console nose.

Don't believe me? Go check yours. :relax:

Geezz, I'm just glad my boat floats. The real reason is "one" hangs lower, thus the need for counter ballance. :big grin

i have the xb2002. my boat is a little different than most. i have the full winsheild with the seats side by side. i have one battery in the middle and one on the passenger side rear conpartment. for ballance while running topend i put my fishing pedistals in the passenger side rod locker with a 10 inches of set back. ran 105 with 2 gps's strapped to a life live vest on cherokee lake with 5 witnesses. was turning a hydromotive 30 sport on a sportsmaster stock case with 1:87 gears. had the troller on there too. but of course it wasn't helping with the speed but it was helping the ballance.lol. have fun be safe as the water is very hard over 100. hurts like heck. 260 with a a48 box

1998 2.6L Yamaha 200 VMAX Hydro-Tec Phase II (265 hp @ powerhead)
Yamaha 17.5" mid TRP Lower Unit (stock 2.0 ratio)
Twin 27" Yammie Props (closer to 29 " per factory)
10" CMC Hyd Plate

Side steer console, 4 seats. low-mid 80's set-up for fishing/skiing (Phase I) Never have lightened her up to see what she can do. Curious to see what the heads will do for top end seeings I only have about 10 mins run time before I put her up for the winter. Accelleration was very impressive. Would be nice to be able to get the H2o intakes on the bottom of the bullet as opposed to the sides.

1990 xb2002 slightly modded 2.5 200 promax new owner this year and love it. 28 chopper bent to a 29. 96.0 mph on gps so far but all over the rev limiter at 6800. needs more prop. side by side seating with the large console.
