XS 2003 set up motor height

Hi I just picked up my Allison and will be putting my 2.5 245 hp Merc 20" on this weekend, can anyone tell me whats the best engine height ? has Manual jack on it from Allison .

I would start at 3/8" under and go up in 1/4" increments, as you test. Has the hull or lip been changed at all? You should measure the lip, if you are looking for every last bit of performance, just so you know what you are working with. I assume you know the rules about measuring engine height, as if there were no lip at all?
