you can feel it it feels like my old jet ski when it hits the rev limiter not a bog like fuel and it does it at the same exact rpm doesnt flucuate.5,500rpm

My 245 merc on an xb2002 runs hard to 5,500 then goes flat pulled plugs all brown and wet except middle left looks like it came out of the box all wet and oily but no color think maybe coil going bad?
