My 245 merc on an xb2002 runs hard to 5,500 then goes flat pulled plugs all brown and wet except middle left looks like it came out of the box all wet and oily but no color think maybe coil going bad? When does the high speed end of the stator come in? And would it only drop 1 cylinder? Going to try a coil then someone said unhook the white bias wire and try it any thoughts. Idles good pulls hard then flat.

high side cuts in about 2500 rpms. do you feel the miss? if not, probably fuel or timing. make sure wires ain't binding the trigger.

you can feel it it feels like my old jet ski when it hits the rev limiter not a bog like fuel and it does it at the same exact rpm doesnt flucuate.5,500rpm

Went to start it and left bank was dead put my spare power PACs on it and started right up and sound's strong.haven't had it out yet but I think I got it bad power PAC.

Got shop Manual check electrics with my buddy a real outboard tech found bad trigger replaced rechecked timing and sink and link runs like new!thanks to my best buddy Fred Granger!!!

Rare a trigger goes out. I have seen one. It had a bad spot in the wire. If loose one bank it won't be a trigger. Usually switch box.
