Does anyone know where there is one of Larry Registers boats for sale? Prefer just the boat with no power. Hopefully in the Northeast somewhere, but maybe willing to travel further.

I have a chance at a 13R and would like to know what to look for. How do you check for a bad core (I'm assuming there is a balsa core - it's a very light boat)? Would an old short shaft Merc 100 run OK on one of those? What is a good ballpark price? Any input will be appreciated.

I thought that about the tower also. So if I get the 13 and put a hustler or stinger on it how do you keep them together? I've seen so many of them come apart.

Not to sound stupid but are you talking centerline of propshaft 1/2 in below the pad or the water pickup?

What did you get for top speed? How tough were they to handle?

What's considered a good pad width on 13 and 14 allisons? Anyone tried an 80 merc or larger or a V-4 OMC on one of these? It sounds like a big difference between the old and new style.

Yeah it looks very rough. I just thought I'd put it out there just in case anyone wanted it. I bought a 14 that era and I got it for 400 w/ the motor (sold the motor for 200) and all it needs is paint. That was a little more reasonable. I'm going to see Larry Register when I get enough money up...
