1st Annual Smokin The Lake in Gulfport, Ms

On behalf of Casey Weaver and the other organizers of Smokin The Sound (STS) we are happy to announce the 1st annual Smokin The Lake (STL) race sanctioned by the DSRA (Deep South Racing Association). We look forward to this being an annual event in bringing drag racers from all over to compete in the hottest drag boat racing organization across the country. We feel that with the DSRA and the hospitality of South Mississippi this event will grow to be an event unlike any other and second to none.

How much is the entry fee?

If I'm reading and understanding correctly, it costs:

$100 for annual racing associate dues to the DSRA
$100 per class you intend to run per weekend
$30 insurance fee per racer per weekend

So, if you're already a paid member of DSRA for 2009, you're looking at $130 to run one class, $230 to run two classes, etc

If you're not already a member of DSRA, you're looking at $230 to run one class, $330 to run two classes, etc.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

this be the first race of the year so just about everyone has to pay the 2009 membership fee unless gonna pay the weekend fee

I think there is a 50 dollar weekend membership if you dont plan on running any other races during the season but I will have to check.
