2005 Mercury 175 Optimax w/nosecone

I have a 2005 Mercury 175 Optimax with a Bobs noscone. The work was done through Ocean Marine in Freeport, NY. This motor has around 40 hours. I am looking to upgrade the motor on my STV so I have to sell this first. The motor is mint and I will throw in a Tempest plus 25" and 27" if the buyer is interested. Price is $8,250. If you have any questions you can call me at 516-361-4204 or drop me a PM. Thanks and a have a great new year.

Thanks. That means 85 is about what I would see on my SS. How is the acceleration. Could you pull a skier with the 32 ET?

I can currently prop my SS for 70 and pull out reasonably fast on a slalom ski. I weight around 172.

Where is Freeport NY? Anywhere close to the Canadian border?

I could pull a skier if I wanted easily. The acceleration is surprisingly quick for 175 ...I ran with at xb2002 with a 200 and was even in chop. I was originally looking at GS but went with the tunnel. Love the SS when I contacted allison they said I would run around 88-90 with my motor. Who knows but I used it on my old baja and that went 70 and yanked right up no problem with a 27 wheel. give me a call if you want to talk. Where in canada are you? I am about 5 hours from Montreal and have a house within 3 hours of there.
