I finally got a chance to try the 26 pitch Chopper II that I bought used off the net. It looked brand new and had been worked by Tillman. On my XB2003 with 225X it ran 89 GPS with nearly a full tank of gas, trolling motor on, etc. I really like it. I have several faster props but this thing gets down and gets it! It runs similar to my 28 ET.

That is faster than I would have guessed. I would have thought it would have been on the limiter at 85-86. My 28" Performer gets on the limiter at about 87-88, but you know how that goes...they're never pitched exactly as stamped.

Yep, it was a surprise. I had a 26 ET that hit the limiter at 86.5 mph and my 26 Trophy also gets 86.5 into the limiter. My 28 ET gets 90 into the limiter but my 28 Ally cut Chopper II has hit 93.6. Maybe all the Chopper II's are steeply pitched?

Both my 28 Ally cut Chopper II and the 26 Chopper II had some work done to them but I don't believe any of the work would have effectively changed the pitch. They really grab a lot of water because of the big blades and maybe they just run more efficiently with less slip.

So far, I have only run it by myself, but the holeshot is pretty good. It is not outstanding but good. I have a 28 Ally cut Chopper II and for a 28, that one comes out of the hole good. This uncut 26 I would say is a little better than that one. It comes out of the hole better than my 28 ET Lightning. I really think with another try or two, that I can get 90 out of the 26. I know that seems really high for a 26 but 89 mph wasn't real hard to get and it barely touched the limiter at 6850. It is a good solid 3-4 mph faster into the limiter than any other 26 I have ever run.
