Every area and lake has there own set of regs. Best to check a local tackle shop and find out the specs on the lake your going to. There all different. Lakes that are hit heavy have stricter rules than bigger lakes etc.. Some {trophy} lakes are single barbless no bait but have lots of monsters in them. As far as what tackle you have in the boat, that doesn't matter. its whats on your line that matters.

thanks whip...I'll check the local marina when I get up there
Good idea. I just went on holidays and though I was staying my own province {State} the regs change from lake to lake. Where we were theres a short canal 2ft long that joins into another lake thats 40 miles long. There was no fishing in the one and fishing in the other. Even the catch quotas were differant for the two lake even though there adjoined. I guess the fish cant swim 200ft threw the canal? :big grin Ya never no.

In Ontario you are allowed up to 4 hooks on one line per person.
