I also made a system for trim. Variable voltage, 12 volt and 24 volt. When I made a horizontal ram system it turned out way to fast to adjust on the fly. It is controlled by hand or turned on by the ECU, off by a trim limit switch. Went from 1.5 to 2. seconds to about 1/2 a second on 24 volts. I used relays and solenoids with silver contacts so they shouldn't get stuck.
