CMC Jackplate question

Went to look at an XB 21 2+2 today that hadn't been used for about a year. So far everything has check out ok other than that the guy has the cheap Garmin electronics on it both front and back. The TM was that great either. The only issue I noticed was that the CMC Jackplate kind of caught and grabed on the way up and down. I read an earlier thread about using some WD 40 to loosen it up. Any ideas??

check this out. page 8 in the manual for adjustments. Mine gets "sticky" as well at times and I give it a shot of WD40 once in a while to keep it smooth. I was told by a tech at CMC many years ago to do that.
