need a little more info-----
what gears ? and which 225 ??? most any 2003 at lower elevations will put a 28 pitch on the rev limiter...so it will depend on how many RRR's your 225 will turn...

Mine will run 91-92 loaded w/ 2 people and 93-94 loaded to fish with 1 person. And it pulls to the limiter under just about any conditions.

Not sure but I believe the Super mag was the sister to the pro max and would turn up to 6750 rpm's
and the mag II had a lower rpm limit---- I want to say around 6000, but I am not sure about those numbers.....
so depending on which mtr and how many rppms it will turn. if it has 1.87.1 gears it should run 88-92 with the lower rpm mtr and 93-97 with the higher reving engine unless it has had the ecu re-done.
But then again if you are at a higher elevation and the motor wont turn to the rev limit--- all those numbers are out the window.

When I bought my 2003 in '97 for the first 6 months I ran an '88 Laser 220. With a 29" srx my boat would run about 90. Later Bob
