Does the 45ish and 55 ish wiegh about the same?

The MG's are usually lighter. Some of the weight differences will be in the mount you choose as well.

kinda wanting to try a minn kota 45 or 55? do you think there is a wieght difference between them or just the trust?

How about mounts which minn kota has the lightest mount?

Not sure of the weight, but the MK EDGE 55 is a great motor IMO. I like how they lay nice and flat. Plenty of power.

I doubt there's much difference between a 45 and 55 in the same product line. Mounts are gonna be the same, foot pedal the same, shaft and head the same.....only difference might be in the foot and couldn't be more than a lb or two difference.
