Has any of you boys ever moved the trolling batterys toward the front
on xb2003! Looks to me like it would help to hold front down and take
some weight off the back and stabalize the boat better. I did that on a
hydrosport 16 foot boat and it helped a lot, thinking of doing it on the
ally. Any feed back on this!!! Doubletrouble IN TN.

Double, what are you trying to solve by moving the batteries forward?
What is your basic set-up? Shaft height? Prop, Set back? I'm not trying to be a wise guy here but most of us try to keep the weight aft and centered, no that doesn't mean a big belly and a fat azzzzzzzzzzzzz.
Give us an idea of what you are trying to solve.
There is a lot of freely given knowledge on this board and most of it was gained by experience.

Never tried it, but I think it would cause you to have to run with more up-trim unless you add more setback to compensate.

If you're set up right and running light, it should run nice and flat with just a little positive trim when you got it skint back. You don't want to trim it to the moon like other boats, though you will obviously need more trim when you load it down.

THE batteries in front in the new boat are for the added weight of the 3 lire motors n the rear!!! just a balance thing darris came up with

I wouldn't think of moving them up in my 98 model xb03. I run a 14" setback with 2-batteries in the center in front of the tank and it runs flat like that. That's with a 2.5-200 carb mota.

batteries

I assume by 'forward' you mean in the bow. Why not just reduce the setback. That has the same effect on CG as putting the batteries in the bow. The less setback the better (and still carry the bow), less stress on transom, better handling, and quicker out of the hole.

the less setback is not always the better!!!! you have some levage effect that helps holeshot, accelaration and top speed!!! i know of a winning drag boat xr2001 that run 8" of setback and believe me it is QUICK AND FAST!!!!!!

forward weight

I had a GS (or 2) which is more or less the same hull as a xb2003. I had it rigged for all around performace, leaning a little to top end. When 2 skiis were put put in the bow I lost 5 mph, trim to compensate or not.
