Boy, sure is good to have the site up again!!!! :very happy
Well, I've heard back from the 2 places on Clearlake and this is what is.
Konocti Vista Casino*** $79/night weekdays $89/weekends, RVsites $25/night--- amenities, Rooms facing docks, power at the docks, restaurant at the casino, If you go to Google Earth and pull up Clearlake, the coodinates are 39o 01' 18.13"N 122o 53' 17.90". You can see the layout and the protected dock area.
Skylark Motel:
gene, hello to you, apologies for the delay.
i've blocked the lakefront rooms in advance for the "allison group" this puts 16 rooms, 8 upstairs, 8 downstairs at your disposal. there is a connecting litchen between every two rooms, thus-8 kitchens available( first come first to get, and they are connecting, if desired- so this may come into consideration in choosintg room location.
pricing: my summer season begins on 1 may, and the rate for lakefront front rooms is 148,50 after tax. the kitchens are 20.00 per night. as a matter of AAA/AARP and size of the group and time of stay, i'll offer your group a rate of 126,50 ( after tax) ( this is less than the AAA discounted rate.
the motor home is not a problem, and i believe we discussed all the immediate other issues that you're not already familiar with// as an item to consider, unless your date is already firmly established, =move the arrival date back into march and a) give yourself the option of staying longer and b) price savings, using a formula of- room rate x 10 roomsx 5 nights. in may, this would be around 6750, in march you would be looking at apprximately 4450 .
The docks face the main lake and aren't protected by a breakwater. The group has been there in '05 and most know the layout.
I haven't contacted either resort to confirm since I am just now able to get the information to you guys. Everything is close to either location. Skylark is "downtown" and KVC is about 1-2 mi out of town. There is an airport at lakeport that I think can handle small to mid sized planes. Sacramento airport is about 2 hours away. Both Santa Rosa and Ukiah have airports as well.
There ya go guys:relax: Lets get a head count as to where you want to go.
