For the first time, I ran the same prop all year on my SS2000. Of course I changed the motor partway through the year. 28T4X, which was a good mix of speed and acceleration, especially with my old 225 PM. I did notice a bit lest out of the hole when I changed to a 200XS - 1.75 gears.

I know Whipper changes props a lot. Do most of you?

28 is about right. My SS hated big ear choppers when I ran my 150 XR4. The bow never stopped moving at 80 plus. Spooky. See what you can borrow.

I run 3 props, 23 trophy for several people and rough water where I'm in no hurry or skiing, 26 DAH worked trophy for everyday use, runs upper 80s and does just about everything a guy would need, and a 30 spinelli dr4 for playing and longer runs.

Is it worth the money getting big ear choppers worked or cut for my XB02?
Yes. A big ear cut to the "knob cut" is one of the best driving props out there on an xb2002. Very punchy and still carry load fairly well.

I just bought a 28 Triton for next season - the high price of looking at the Allison facebook page for the first time in months. I've had good success with Hoss props on my SS2000, but when I switched to fat shaft I sold my last one.
