I need a prop for my GS 225SM. A guy on S&F has a 28 chopper that I want. The Merc # on the barrel is 48 89860 28. Right prop? Will it fit. I've run a 28 chopper before and liked it.
Thanks

Flow Torque Hub

On this post there is a link to Adams Dock which is about Chopper props.
The info says that the Chopper II has the Flow Torque hub and can be replaced by hand. Can I buy a Chopper with the "fat shaft" hub and replace it with the small shaft hub and be good to go?
Thanks

Art, yes you can change the hub kit on a Chopper II and make it fit on a small or large shaft. I have never run a stock Chopper II but I recently ran an Allison cut Chopper II. I like it. It does not have quite the top end of an ET on my boat but it runs well and carries a load well. I ran a 28 pitch and it acts more like a 30 pitch.
