Hi all,

I've got my SI transducer mounted off the side of my jackplate.

I'm going to put a skid plate on the XTB-21, but if I do something like the Allison one I'm thinking the beam will get blocked some.

What do people do in this situation, or what's done at factory level??

Pics would be appreciated if possible :)

Drilled and tapped the corner of my plate for my SI transducer. Been there for nearly 3 seasons now and it's worked like a charm!

Never had a problem reading the 997 or the 1197 that replaced it. You would think when the motor is trimmed fully in the gearcase would interfere but it never has. If it does then just trim it out as you're only gonna be side scanning at idle speed anyway.

If you gotta hyd. plate remember to leave some slack in the cable for full range of motion.
