Having an SS-comp myself I noticed this boat last weekend at the Scream and Fly get together in Lincolnton Ga. and it is stunning. I talked to Bill at Allison three years ago when I got my Comp and he said that the ss-R is the rarest Super Sport with only 6 (at the time in June 07) ever built.

The production numbers are as follows :

SS Race model 6 boats manufactured

SS Comp model 18 boats manufactured

SS Excel model 69 boats manufactured

All told 93 Super Sport Boats have been manufactured to date in June 2007.

I had a 2000 ss2000 excel and I wasn't impressed with it at all. Nice boat but handleing wasn't great(side steer) and top end could have been better. Maybe center steer ss2000r is better. Sure is a fine looking rascal...........

Pretty sure but not for sure dont the R,s get into the mid to high teens with right power and driver? Seem to have read this somewere. I love the colors and layout of this one.

I cant believe that bottom!!! This SS-R is like new and WAY less than half of what it would cost for one JUST LIKE THIS. For 12G,s Im really surprised this boat made it past a day without being sold. If i had 12 right now I would have this hull on its way North. Hmmm:beer: Shes a thing of beauty.

Great looking boat, as I also saw it in Clewiston before Robbie traded it for the bass boat.

As for speed I'm sure a stock 260 would put that boat into the teens.

It ran 106 with a stock 260 26 " Yammi drag at 8900. The boat ran like it was on a string untill 104 then you had to drive it. For it's size it is a very quick boat! Good luck with the sale.
