Well, it was a real challenge getting the farm ready to hunt this year, being that the Texas gulf coast is in a 100 year drought. The only fresh water available was water we had pumped earlier in the year to save our bass pond, so we took a few inches out of the pond to get a field ready for teal season.

Anyway, it was a fun opening day.

Well, we managed to have a really good season. Closed it out last weekend with easy limits. A few little cool fronts have lowered the water temps. a bit and got the bass biting again! My dog's 13th season. Hard to see him slowing down a bit, but he loves it just as much as he ever did! Me and dad haven't missed an opening day together in about 23 years either!
