Well the Simcoe Open is once again on and this year the smallmouth are expected to be turned on more than ever. Last year, after the tournament,in practise we broke the 30 lb mark twice. Thats a 6 lb average folks! We weighed in almost 28 lb for third place in the tounament. If we get lucky we will break the all time Canadian record of 30.36 lb. Wish us luck!!

Hey Craig, over 31 lbs took it this year. Not the winning team, but someone brought in 1 over 8 lbs.
HG and his brother are always in contention.
Come on up and stay at my house Craig, Simcoe is only half hour away.

Well this time I won the tournament by myself. The ottawa river is a big run (53 miles) down to where I found these fish. My brother didn't show up so I did the tournament by myself. 85 mph got me there in 40 minutes. First fish was the big one on top water. The rest came on tubes. I won by 4 lb and I had a biug fish get off.
Who says you cant fish out of an Allison.
