I am nearly finished with the restoration of my '88 XTB21 and am trying to figure out what to do about the trailer. I have the original which has some fender damage and rust but overall is probably salvageable. I have estimates for sandblast, repair and paint in the$2000 to $3000 range. I would have to lift and store the boat while the trailer work in being completed.

Another option is to find a reasonably priced trailer, used, to put under it while I have to original redone.

Last option is to buy a new trailer from a big name manufacturer.

Do any of you know of a good manufacturer who is also reasonable priced?

Also, what would you expect to pay for a low to mid level trailer Single axle? or Double axle?

Thanks for your input...

All I know...I drastically underestimated the replacement cost of the double axle Boatmate for our GSE that we lost in the fire.

The new swing tongue.....$5500.00
