Can an original xb2003 trailer be modified to make it a swing away tongue trailer?

I did it on my 2003, but it was an older trailer, pre boatmaite. Just used a chop saw and cut where I wanted and put on the kit. Works great no issues but a lot of worry making the initial cut. Actually drilling the holes for the bolts ended up being the more time consuming part.

I like the Fulton kits, I have put them on several boat trailers over the years, never had any issues out of any of them.

I had my original Boatmate converted to a removable tongue so I'm sure you can do a swing away.

If I measured mine right just now about 18".
