transducer placement

Anyone who has a XB-2003 with a skidplate install a transducer for a 180 degree - bottom and side view. Don't know where to put it because it has to be lower than skidplate which is only 1 1/2 inches above pad .

Any ideas?

I mounted min left of the pad, near the speed sensor, but i'm a noob(got my ally in August of '09) and probly should have it somewhere else to eliminate some added drag at WOT.

John, I don't think it's potential drag you need to be concerned with, I think it's the possible disruption of the water headed towards the prop. I may be off base but I'm a believer that nothing should be mounted on the transom that would disrupt the flow of water to the prop. Opinions?
