Hi :smile

I'm in the process of designing a skid plate, and am having difficulties measuring the transom to pad angle so I can make sure the plate runs parallel to the pad.

Pic below of what I mean - apologies for my stunning artistic ability!

Anyone have a definite on an XTB-21?

Take two yard sticks, bolt one of their ends togeather. Where the lip interferes with laying flat to the bottom of the hull make a notch.

When I made mine, I bolted it on and then adjusted it, lower bolt hole was elongated to adjust. When I got it parallel I tightened the bolts and then drilled and tapped another hole through the two pieces. The lowest hole is tapped.

20 sounds right, I was pretty sure I'd read 20 somewhere before but needed confirmation.

I'll do as suggested, allow for 20 and an elongated bottom bolt hole to get it perfect.

Thanks for the help!

wow. An Allison with a 20 degree transom would be a right fine submarine. The abundance of mis-information here of late embarrasses me. Someone clean this mess up, else we'll all end up in jail....
