Gotta give credit where credit is due......this is the best stuff I've ever seen when it comes to making the textured areas in our boats shine. Kinda pricey, but it seems to go a long way. And it WORKS.

No residue at all. It's more like a really thick vinyl protectant. A small scrub brush helps to work it into the grain and then just wipe off. Surprisingly, it's recommended and works really good on aluminum and stainless too. I've used an awful lot of different products over the years, this one is impressive!
