Tolley, the xb03 should run mid 80s ready to fish with the 200 promax. Or take what you are running now and subtract 3-5mph.

I have that combo. The previous owner stated he saw 88 light one time. Last year I ran consistent 82 with tourney load. This year my motor is waaay low on compression so 78 is about all I can get. I plan to rectify that this winter though!

I need more prop for my 200 EFI but I run 78/79 every time out with a 2 man load, and troller. I have been in the low 80s by myself (never tried anything greater than a 26P), I am sure with a 28 I would be in the low 80s all the time Especially since my motor is supposed to make the most power around 6K not the 6600/6700 I am spinning it. I have a A-11 ECU 200 promax ECU On my EFI. I am also wondering if I need just a hair more setback for loaded running as I am at 13" currently which is great when light two man or by myself, but load it up to 3 people and 75/76 is about all she wants to do

I would think a very light 03 w/ 200 power would run 90 or slightly better. Many run mid 90's+ w/ 225 pm.

Best I ever saw was 88 and that was light. But, I ran 83 to 84 consistently by myself with a TX load and a full tank. Turning a et cut 26 chopper at around 6700 RPM. I did see 85 a few times. With a junker prop a full tx load with a partner I could run 78. Never tried it with my good prop. Same junk prop would run 81 to 83 with just me.

So I am in the ballpark with my 200 EFI, although I wouldn't consider my quadiv xot a junker best so for 83.8 by myself with a little current, bust 80 up stream ( seems to run really well upstream maybe helps it lift a little more) or no current

78/79 with 2

76 with 3 or more

And this weekend I am going to run without the troller and dump the two trolling batteries

Be carefull here your going to make a huge change. Ballance and trim angle will probably be different then with all that weight.

I agree, going to have to be careful, I keep a pretty close eye on the gps, if the speed doesn't increase I don't trim any more.

My boat also has negative wedges so trim cant get too far out of control. Unless I have a bunch of stuff in the boat I don't think I ever max the trim out using this method. That may be why loaded I don't run as well as I might need some of the trim the wedges take away.

Mike, tourney loaded with a great setup and two people should be mid to high 80's without the troller and the windshield, and she'll bust 90 fairly easy. You'll get alot more engine height with the combination of removing those two. a trick gearcase will get you 2-3mph if your running a sporty right now. the 03's like setback. I like 14-16. I'm at 13 now and 2 in the 15" mid. I plan to go back another 1 to 3 inches. I can only go back one now, but plan to add a 2inch spacer to accomplish 18" of setback and see how she likes it. It's definately better on fuel with setback. bring a 20lb shot bag with you, cause the xb03 is waaaaay more finicky with weight distribution than the 02 is.

XB03fs. Your gonna like the way it handles without the troller. it has a racier feel to the boat, and it'll pop up and run anywhere from 8-10mph sooner.

My all time best on XB2003 with 200 promax was 88.7 with a 28 ET Lightning. A more every day realistic number would be 86-87 mph lightly loaded with 1 person.

Bought my ride in 95 with a 200 Supermag. Had 9 inches of set back and that crappy ol CLE gearcase. On radar (before GPS!) got 89.9 no troll motor and by myself. And like everyone else has said, will run mid 80's ready to fish. :)

I think I need a 27 or 28 somthing to get much more. Bymyslef it already goes to low 70's in a flash and about 65 loaded in a flash, like maybe 1/8 mile It just crawls up from there but I think it is because the motors recommended rpms max is like 5850 so I am sure that being way over the powerband, reving to 6700 has something to do with it.

This winter there will be some mild mods to get a little more power hopefully up there,
-cowl mod
-intake spacer
-remove the timing modules and set timing static, I think above 6000 the module retards it a couple degrees...

I also have two ECU right now my A-1 and and A-11 200 promax, might send the A-1 to simon to bump the fuel curve to 7K. The A-1 drinks close to twice as much fuel above 6K as the A-11 below 6k they have similare fuel consumption characteristics

Motor very well may have better top end with timing retarded a bit... Advanced is all PUNCH. Unless it is doing a host of other things as well above 6K.

Maybe I won't mess with the timing. I has some questions and spoke with Lee at Sanderson Marine one day, he said with the 200 EFI with stock porting, that for max speed I will need to prop for about 6200 even with my raised limiter

Mike, have you ever tried 1.75 gears? I like the 1.75's on the 2.5's. Darris feels the same way.
