XTB-21 Gas Tank Vent Issue

On my 88 XTB-21 I have issues with gas leaking from the vent. Is this a normal issue and if so what can I do to either raise the vent and not make it look bad or make the issue stop ??? Thanks ...

Did you fill your fuel all the way up? I know if I fill mine all it can take some will come out.

Is it leaking while filling or going down the road?

Going down the road. As the gas sloshes around it comes out the vent. It's unsightly on the boat and splash well and down the back of the boat. It's not an overfilling issue. Or is this a regular issue with this tank/vent design ?

If I top my tank off it will do the same, not real bad though.
