XTB-21 plus 250 Sport XS = ????

Hi all,

I'm putting a new 250 SportXS on my XTB-21, and am after any advice I can get. I don't see many with the 3.0l motors on them and am wondering what to expect.
I had an oil pump fail on the old motor, 1700 hours, it had a good life!
Any help appreciated, plus I've added a pic of the old girl done up, it's a wrap, not paint

It will handle a 3L there are 2 of them in Louisiana with 250xs on them.. With the 3L they like a shorter jack plate.

Paint the trailer green to match the boat and that will be a looker on and off the water!
Once the engine is replaced, you look to have a very nice outfit; top of the line graphs, troller, wrap.......

What motor and set back were you running before? I put a 250xs sport on my 03 a couple yrs ago. I came in from 13.5" to 5.5" to keep the balance the same. I was running a 225 super mag before. I left all batts. and equip. in the same location and the boat floats the same. I did fab. a plate to put between the jackplate and hull to get rid of the backwash from stopping. No more water on the back deck. I wish I had put it on when I had the 225 on it, because it would wash the deck if stopping to quick.
