2,5 l sportsmaster

Does all sportsmaster for 2.5 l have the fat shaft (19 splines) ?

If not, which have the smaller shaft (15 splines)?

2.5L Sportmasters had either the fat shaft or regular/smaller shaft. The fat shaft ones are the newer version and I don't believe the gearcases are available anymore with the small shaft, just the large shaft. In fact, I believe just the small shaft itself is becoming pretty extinct.

Okey, so if I'm buying a 2.5 l sportsmaster that was made 2005 for a 300 drag it will have 19 splines and not the smaller shaft with 15 splines?

I would believe that is correct but to be sure, I'd ask the person you are buying it from.

I had a Sportmaster from an 05 280 and it came with the Fatshaft

Any sporty can have any shaft in it. Interchangeable. You need to ask the seller. Some people swap their shafts at the same frequency as their boxers, unfortunately. :shock:

If it was ordered with a drag, it could be a small shaft... I'm not sure the last year it was a option... The norm, it would be a fat shaft... Need to ask some questions!!!!!!!!
