I believe Steve Tripp was involved with RPM Powerboats. http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...61535280,d.eW0

From what I've heard they were testing a 26' RPM Cat and made a successful 145 mph pass earlier in the afternoon and decided to go out again for another pass. His passenger, Mark, was sitting behind him when the prop blew out and the boat hooked. Mark was flying through the air with Steve in front of him when they hit the water, litterally tearing his clothes off. Mark made it to the surface, grabbed a floating root and made it to the shoreline where some fishermen found him. He was released from the hospital later in the evening with a broken wrist and pretty banged up..he never saw Steve again after they hit the water...Everyone is praying that Steve might also be stranded on the shoreline in need of medical help..Prayers and best wishes for both families and full recoveries...
