I'll be picking up a boat around Little Rock (Carlisle) next wednesday & might want to do some boating. Any decent lakes around the area ? Scott

There may be some right close to Little Rock, but just a little west in Hot Springs there are some really premium lakes...

Lake Quacita is hour south and THE most beautiful lake this side of the cont. divide!

If you just want to run it, the AR River runs right thru LR,

Stay the hell off Lake Hamilton which winds through Hot Springs unless you go through the week. DeGray in really low right now. If you're headed north, Greers Ferry is beautiful and you may see a bald eagle or a dozen. Lake Ouchita is big with plenty of room to stretch it out. If'n your headed west, Lake Greeson is Beutimouse!! Call SWAHA for a cabin if you go there. Lake Norfork headed north is nice too, but the only place I know to stay there is Theodosia on the Missouri side of the border. You just have to go through Mountain Home to get there , but a nice deep water lake to air things out as well
