Just be careful if you go into Cow Creek... A buddy from the bass club grounded his new Ranger on a mid-creek rock formation..... His buddy and fishing partner says "hey Doc I think you're leaving a blood trail" (he has a red glitter Ranger).... With buds like that who needs enemies lol?????

Great pics!! Where is that lookout? How far down is the water level?
if this is the one you are talking about it's the Pecos ramp. That is the Hwy 90 bridge in the back ground. the water is low, i'm sure sure of the exact level, but it's still fine for boating. it does limit how far up the Devils and Pecos you can go and the confluence of the Pecos and Rio is to low for boats

You need to bring it to Florida for a week or two of the best boating there is. We have a Suwannee get-together coming up Labor Day....
Me and a couple of buddies were talking about running all the way from the san jac to florida, just to do it. I doubt we ever will but it would be an interesting trip if we ever did.

we also talked about trying to do the great loop as well, doubt it will ever happen but it would be cool... Someone in an ally needs to hold the record for fasted loop time IMO...

That would be great if you could find fuel on the water. It is getting more and more scarce nowadays.....
