just got a 260 20" fishing mid but it looks to have the small tiller arm on it

was wondering if there is a way to add a brace from the adapter plate to the tiller arm and still attach my hydraulic steering

thanks justin

thats good to know what about the brace that reynolds racing sells looks like it hooks to adapter plate and tiller arm

rounding up parts to convert my promax to a 20" motor and put my 15" on my drag

Justin ,call Bill @ Allison. Darris makes a plate that is made to strengthen the tiller arm. It bolts to the tunner plate and to the steering. He had a friend that had one break on a Allison so he made a fix for it. I was there picking up the XR that Dean Hollier has and it wasen't ready so I worked nearly all day w/Darris making templates and bending metal to make it fit. Later after he had the first ones made Nancy sent me one for my old mid and it was a bolt on. works great.

Justin....keep in mind ,the 20 inch tiller arm is different than the 15 inch,.....the 15 inch is longer
Yes a 15 is a lot different. The bracket for a 15 will not work on a 20....
The cheapest thing to do is buy a 2.5 20" steering tube.
I know a guy that should havw one.
