I have never used WSM, but I do you use Vertex and have never had a problem

I used a ProMarine Pro piston [$90 on-line and come with rings]. We will see how it works out over the next several hundred hours.

Pro marine for 165 hours in mine with no issues so far.

Always heard good things on Vertex. That's what's in my 225, but only 50 hrs on it and no prior experience with other pistons

Vertex comes with lots of praise. Louisiana boys turning big rpm's in Pro Stock motors. I have used Pro Marine when they offered the 1 mm ring pistons. They worked well.
