Does everyone have "lockjaw"? It's getting closer and closer everyday. Can't wait until we all get together('cept the moderator). We can only handle just so much of HIM:beer:.

I was counting the boats that I think will make the Rally this year and I come up with 20 which would be great. Even 15 would be good considering the times.

Mike this is how I came up with 15 to 20 boats. Plus I think there is another one but I don't know his name that said he was coming this year. He has a XB-21/200XS

PAST TIMES IN THIS EVENT-------------------------2007-------2008

Class 1. 225 HP or less-------------------------------800'--------600'
1. Aaron GS2003/225
2. Neil XB2003/200XS------------------------------------------10.06
3. George XB2003/225----------------------------14.20-------10.32
4. Ron XB2003/225--------------------------------11.90
5. Gordon XB2003/200XS---------------------------------------11.44
6. John Y. XB2003/175/OMC------------------------------------10.22
7. Allen XB2003/225-------------------------------13.00

Class 2. 20' boats 240hp to 300hp

1. Bill XB2003/250XS-------------------------------11.10--------8.31
2. Gary XB2003/350hp/OMCz-----------------------11.10--------8.99
3. Scott and Steve 19 Cougar/300XS

Class 3. 21' boats 225hp to 300hp

1. Brian XTB 21/225hp
2. Gene XB 21/250XS-------------------------------14.00-------10.47
3. Craig XB 21/250XS
4. Lars XB 21/300XS
5. Bob 21 Stroker/250XS----------------------------14.00-------12.00
6. Mike 21 Stroker/300X-----------------------------15.10
7. Donny 21 Bullet/300X-----------------------------13.10-------9.67

Class 4 Open Class Comp and high hp boats

1. Jay SS2000R/260hp
2. John R. XB2002C/260hp----------------------------9.30--------6.91
3. Lou XR 2001/Drag-----------------------------------9.42--------6.25
4. Lou XB 2002C/Drag
5. Bill STV/260-----------------------------------------8.98
6. Kevin Mirage/DRAG----------------------------------8.94
Everybody needs to remember that these classes are designed for each of us to compare our holeshots with like boats by looking at your time compared to similar weight and hp boats. I guess it's not fair for Lou to run with class 4 boats with his all out drag boat. If I am able to bring my STV I guess we could have 5 classes and Lou and I could just run each other. I have raised the class 2-HP limit to 300 HP, but I put Gary in there because our heavier 2003s don't compare with lightweight boats in holeshots. I think his times will be closer to ours than class 4 boats. Please PM me if you think you should be in a different class.

John, I'm looking forward to running against these guys. As far as Scott or Steve staying in it don't worry about those boys they can drive and only wish that they had more. In fact they will give some of you big dogs a run on the top end if you do a GPS run. I know if they make it there they will want to put a GPS in the boat and go for it. I have run a lot of miles always behind them with the hammer down.

I always have a push rope onboard!

In any case I can try to be useful, starter boat or timer boat. I'll bring the same boat bumpers, rope and anchors as at the delta. At least we shouldn't have tidal current to deal with.
I would suggest to have a lane well marked out so people don't run for the timer boat.
Also as you suggested, those who have run wait until all have run and are given the signal to return to the start aera. This will give everyone a safe wake free run. Other wise it turns into an unsafe cluster :cuss. Then we can blame Gene Gene the Cozy King!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got to go now Chris broke one of my favorite coffee mugs and she needs her beating!

Jay, now that's what I'm talking about. I know that for a fact since I was there and they were running one of my props. The only way I've been able to run with them is when both of those big boys are in that little 19 Cougar and I'm by myself low on gas without the troller on. Or when I catch them on a bad day when they break something and don't have a chance to make another pass and that's only happened once.
