If the factory still has records, then they could tell... Other than that there aren't any real hard core determining features, only some clues that are typically found on one or the other... The XB02's can and have been built with so many overlapping features that it's really a matter of hull weight to determinine the true purpose of the build.. Comps will often not have interior lighting, Comps will often not have rope cleats on the top cap, center steer Comps will often have the small console, the Comp can have both tall and short engine fairings but the Tournament will very likely not have the tall one.. The tournament will typically be 50-100 lbs. heavier than the Comps...

the white n blue in m-boro is wrecked pretty bad. 5ft of starboard side has been repaired badly ....its a real shame too.. was a fairly nice boat besides that

i have a 1998 xb 2002 COMP boat is white and red no damage real good shape its on a single axl trailer allum. i just put a 2002 225x on it and i dont like it im thinking about selling the hole thing 16,500 turn key ready 2 go if int let me no ill send you pics.

I have a near perfect grey and red one,i think its a 88 or 89,all original with a perfect gell coat finish,i would rate the boat at a 9.5 outa 10 its that nice,center steer with race fairing and flat one if there were boat shows this one would win the vintage 80s class,call me if your interested 630 881 8574 Jeff,i wouls ell just to buy another boat on mind,if didnt then i will keep it,,
